Welcome friends!

My name is Stephanie and I am the founder of Sasaphras Yoga. I have been practicing yoga for over a decade and back in 2016, I made the decision to devote myself to the lifelong study of yogic practices and to share my humble knowledge with my community. I led my first classes in July of that year and am thrilled to be resuming my regular schedule after living through the Covid-19 pandemic. I am certified to teach SUP Yoga and have completed further trainings in yoga history and anatomy. In addition to my yoga practice, I am also a passionate hoop dancer and became a certified Hoop Love Coach in 2019. Hoop flow workshops for beginners are part of my latest movement offerings.

Aside from mindful movement practices, I am a life-long creative; writer, artist, and thinker. I have degrees in Studio Art and Art History from Hartwick College, with a minor in Philosophy. Currently in my creative endeavors, I have been working on fiction, poetry, charcoal sketches, and watercolor and acrylic painting. I am always open to commissions or collaborations! My interests are seemingly endless. I am also passionate about gardening, herbalism, and environmental regeneration. My family and I have a large organic garden and enjoy spending our Adirondack summers tending to the land of which we are lucky enough to be stewards. Integrating nature and magic within my life has become essential to who I am and it is my dearest wish that some of this is translated into my professional offerings.
